What have we got to look forward to?
Y5/6 Greek day - Tuesday 15th November 2016
In order to develop the Y5/6 topic of “Ancient Greeks” further, they are having a Greek day. This is a bit of advance warning that costumes will be required! A letter will follow soon with more information and advice. The children will be making Greek food, clay toys and enjoying Greek music and dance. However, plates will NOT be smashed!
CHILDREN In Need - Friday 18th November 2016
We will be celebrating Children in Need 2016 with a “Heroes and Villains” day. Children are welcome to come dressed as their favourite hero or villain in exchange for a donation of at least £1. Please could parents ensure that costumes do NOT include weapons! We would also like to run a bake sale in the hall after school, so would be very grateful for donations of cakes and biscuits nearer the time.
Y5/6 Visit To Magna - Tuesday 22nd November 2016
Y5/6 visit to Magna. This amazing science experience will reinforce and develop the children’s understanding of their Science topic of Changing Materials.
Reception/KS1 Panto - Wednesday 7th December 2016
Reception and KS1 visit to the Panto. As in previous years we are taking Unicorn Class to the Panto. This year it is Dick Wittington in Harrogate.
